The online art of craft

A local craft reseller launched its new website last weekend at the annual Cornwall Design Fair at Trereife Park.

Craftpoint owner, Carole Lomas, explained: “Launching at the Cornwall Design Fair was a perfect match for the quality of contemporary craft we offer, with many of our makers exhibiting at the Fair.”

She said the new site is aiming for a “boutique style” feel, while showcasing the products of local craft makers.

It is the next phase of development for Craftpoint and follows a series of pop-up shops held in the county.

Lomas added: “As well as giving excellent service and quality products to our customers, our ethos is to support, promote and sell the work of Cornish designer-makers.

“Having worked in the creative industries for the last seven years, I know how challenging it can be for makers to either get started or expand their markets, and Craftpoint is all about helping them along the way.”
