Two Convergence investments are pooling resources and hosting roadshows aimed at highlighting what support is available to businesses in Cornwall wanting to increase their trade and profit.

Export Cornwall and Partner to Succeed, which both receive Convergence investment, held the first ‘Have Breakfast On Us’ event earlier this week at Fitzgerald Lighting, in Bodmin. Five more, one-hour events are planned in Launceston, Bude, Wadebridge, Saltash and Newquay.

Mark Sansby, Partner to Succeed knowledge transfer manager, said: “By working together we are able to offer a short information session showcasing the valuable services we are both able to offer to ambitious businesses looking to grow.

“These sessions are in the heart of some of the most prominent commercial areas of Cornwall, and delivered over breakfast allowing for minimum disruption to the working day.”

Rory Uniacke, southern zone manager at UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), added: “With the help of Convergence funding, we are focussed on helping Cornish businesses build trade in overseas markets. By combining forces, we can reach out to new people in different ways and raise awareness of the great opportunities out there.”

The next scheduled event takes place at Launceston Town Hall on September 1, followed by a meeting at Zoeftig’s Bude office on September 13. Other dates to be confirmed.

All events start at 7.45am. For more details or to book a place, click here.
