One of the south west’s largest and most anticipated design fairs is set to open its doors this week, showcasing the wealth of creative talent that Cornwall has to offer.

More than 90 specially selected designers will set up their displays throughout a maze of marquees, galleries and specially-curated areas at Trereife House, Penzance, from September 16-18.

It was eight years ago that the first dedicated design fair took place in the stately grounds of the 16th century Queen Anne manor house, when Hidden Art selected 65 renowned designer/makers to showcase their wares. Today, more than 3,500 visitors flock to enjoy the atmosphere and exhibits at one of the favourite events in the south west art calendar.

Cornwall Design Fair director, Rob Lewis, said: “The exhibition strives to showcase the very best of Cornish design, as well as talent from the rest of the UK and further afield. Trereife House also gives visitors a chance to experience some local history as well as modern design.”

With everything from jewellery to ceramics, furniture and classic art, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the designers and shop for unique items.

As well as the exhibitors there will be a wide range of activities available, including, demonstrations and talks.

Opening times are 10am to 5pm, Friday and Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
