ScaffFloat was recognised for innovation last week at the National Scaffolding Awards in London.

The Penryn-based startup has a patented a system which allows it to make pontoons, rafts and workboats from standard scaffold.

The company was shortlisted for the innovation category at the awards, which recognise excellence in the access industry.

Founder and MD, Toby Budd, said: “Whilst it’s a shame we didn’t win, it was still great to be shortlisted. We had a great night and met lots of folk in the industry we have and plan to work with.”

Since launching the system two years ago, the company has delivered over 100 projects and 1,000 hours of safe floating access to companies around the world.
