Pirate FM is officially one of the top companies to work for in the UK, after parent company UKRD was awarded three stars by workplace engagement specialists Best Companies.
It is the fourth year in a row the Cornish company has been given the top accolade, meaning that independent inspectors have rated it “extraordinary”.
The assessment was based on a company report coupled with anonymous surveys filled in by members of staff working for Pirate FM and UKRD at the company’s Redruth base.
UKRD, which operates 16 radio stations across the UK, has been ranked the Best Mid-Sized Company to Work For in the UK for the last two years. The latest star ranking means staff from the station will be invited to a ceremony in London later this year to hear whether they have made the top 100 once again.
