Cornish law firm Coodes is to host a Rural Conference to give farmers and rural businesses a helping hand with the law.

Coodes’ legal experts will be joined by three external speakers from the Agricultural Law Association, Senior Development Officer with Cornwall Council and Renaissance Environmental Consultancy.

Farmers are among the most regulated businesses in the UK whilst working in an industry that is seeing unprecedented change.

Coodes’ Rural Conference will bring together nationally recognised experts on farming and rural business issues, common land and livestock legislation, environmental law and environmental change.

The conference, at Lanhydrock Hotel and Golf Club on April 26, will be a chance to hear how developments in these areas affect Cornish farmers.

Coodes’ own experts in family, business and criminal law, solicitors who understand Cornwall and its rural communities, will also be on hand to give insight and advice.

Suzanne Skerry from Coodes said: “There’s never been more for farmers and rural business owners to deal with in terms of legislation and the law.

“Coodes works with farmers every day and we know the pressures they are under. Our Rural Conference is designed to help them understand and address the issues they have to tackle.”
