A new City Guide for Truro has been launched with information on the city and local businesses.

The new Truro City Guide

Designed to give locals and visitors  a comprehensive overview of the city, it features more than 200 Truro businesses.

It was put together by a collaboration of two Truro-based businesses – marketing and design agency MPAD and Fal River Cornwall, the marketing partnership for Cornwall’s most popular visitor destination.

Their brief was to deliver the guide at no cost to the council and it has been entirely funded by advertising sales.

Roger Gazzard, town clerk at Truro City Council, said: “The production of the guide has enabled the Council to provide a first class marketing tool for Truro without incurring costs for the ratepayer.

“It is a great demonstration of the benefits of a public/private sector partnership.”

Toby Budd, marketing manager at Fal River Cornwall, added: “The partnership between ourselves and MPAD was a natural fit and proved to be very successful. We have enjoyed working with the council – they were keen the Guide was self funding and although there was significant risk, we took on the project as we were really keen to get involved and make a fantastic guide for Truro.”
