St Ives hotel Tregenna Castle has appointed a new executive head chef.
David Royle has been a head chef for more than 12 years for a number leading hotels and catering companies around the UK.
He said: “I have experienced the good and bad of a wide range of restaurants and at Tregenna I have finally found one that brings all of the good elements together.”
Operations director, James Parker, is delighted that Royle has joined the team. He said: “Although we already source our ingredients locally, David is concentrating on creating menus using sustainable fish, as well as bringing a few surprises to the plates!
“We are also taking our support of local businesses a step further than most, in that we are approaching individual local fishermen to line catch particular produce for us. This is an exciting time for us and we invite our neighbours to visit to find out more.”
