Newquay Business Improvement District (BID) has announced the return of its popular LOVE Newquay Loyalty Card scheme alongside an opening up of the programme to visitors as well as locals.

Figures show that if every TR7 post-coded household spent just an extra £5 per week on Newquay’s high street, there would be an additional £45k generated into the town’s local economy week-on-week. In these post-pandemic and cost-pressurised times, hard-working local businesses need the support of shoppers, diners and guests more than ever before.

Newquay BID manager, Mark Warren, said: “This year more than ever it is important to stay positive. Newquay BID is determined to provide added incentives to bring everyone out onto our streets —shopping, dining and getting involved in all the great activities, and also using brilliant services, that our local Newquay businesses provide.”

The previous iteration of the Love Newquay Loyalty Card was a locals-only option. However, Warren has done away with this restriction, making the new programme an option for everyone, driving even more footfall in the critical out-of-season period.

He added: “The Newquay BID-created Locals Loyalty Card was a successful scheme before, and it’s needed now more than ever. However, we’re throwing it open to everyone, meaning we can promote the offers and deals, whilst showcasing our talented business community, to the tens of thousands of committed followers on the Love Newquay social channels.

“We’re rolling the new card out quickly as the need is strong. We just need our first set of on-it businesses to submit their deals and offers within the next week. These can be anything from a %off, a BOGOF or a complimentary item with a purchase. Once we have a respectable set of options, we’ll launch the card, likely in mid-late November with a big local campaign.”

There’s no cost for businesses to get involved and interested businesses who haven’t yet registered their Love NQY options should contact Mark.Warren@newquaybid.co.uk or check their Newquay BID e-newsletter copy to find all the info they need to get involved.
