Two people looking very much like the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall were outside Parliament today (May 19), rallying support for the Cornish language.

Following the recent Government funding cuts, they were speaking Cornish as a mark of Cornish solidarity.

Kelly’s of Cornwall is encouraging people to sign a petition, which has over 6,000 signatures, to reinstate the funding that supports the teaching of Cornish. The first ever TV advert in Cornish, using #speakCornish, will go live on Monday May 23.

  1. Good on yer Kelly’s. Diversity enriches us all and Cornish is an important part of these islands’ diverseheritage. Hag da yw genev-vy dehen rew enwydh (and also, I like ice cream)
