North Cornwall MP, Dan Rogerson, has paid glowing tribute to a family-run Bude-based business.
Rogerson dropped in to AWB Textiles to meet the employees, along with co-owner Cedric Cook.
The firm has been based in north Cornwall for some 60 years, and produces surgical gowns and other medical materials for the NHS.
Rogerson said: “It’s been great to meet up with one of AWB’s owners, and to talk to staff.
“Having grown up here myself, I’ve seen lots firms come and go, but AWB has been around for years, and they have even kept going through the economic crisis.
“AWB is a local employer to be proud of. Their products are of a high quality, and relied on by hospitals up and down the country.”
