HRH Princess Alexandra presents The Duke of Cornwall’s Award for 2019 to the Roberts Family

The deadline is fast approaching to get nominations in for the Duke of Cornwall’s Farm Diversification Award.

Established in 2007, The Duke of Cornwall’s Award celebrates innovation and diversification within the agricultural community. The award is presented to farms based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, which have developed successful enterprises in addition to their main agricultural activities.

The winner will receive a £1k cash prize and a signed certificate provided by His Royal Highness The Duke of Cornwall, and will be presented during the Royal Cornwall Show (June 4-6).

An impressive range of projects have been celebrated in the past, including a cheese producer, an events venue, and education providers. 2019 winners, the Roberts family, have farmed at Trenoweth Farm for over 50 years, but in the mid-1990’s set up a day-care facility for adults with learning difficulties.

Nominations for the 2020 award are currently being welcomed for any applicable organisations, businesses and individuals. You can nominate or be nominated if you have been in the past, but previous winners cannot enter. Nominations close on March 1.
