The Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association (RCAA) has begun its search for a new secretary.

The RCAA announced back in September that Christoper Riddle would be retiring from the post in September 2024, after 35 years at the helm.

The role offers an “outstanding opportunity to apply your leadership skills in a long standing…charitable organisation that promotes the benefits of agriculture…in Cornwall”.

The candidate will “lead the development of a refreshed mission and vision” for the association and be able to deliver the “exacting high standards” of the annual Royal Cornwall Show, which attracts around 120,000 people each year.

It is also looking for someone that “come[s] from the agricultural/rural sector in its widest sense” and “bring the emotional intelligence to interact with a wide range of people”.
