A Cornish luxury holiday cottage agency, which started life with just a handful of properties, is looking forward to a very bright future after moving to new offices to keep pace with demand for its holiday homes.

Cornish Gems, which was launched just two years ago by Julianne Shelton and Nadia Durrant, have moved to new offices near Hayle’s Foundry Square to enable it to keep up with both its growing property portfolio and holiday bookings.

Providing visitors to Cornwall with self-catering holiday accommodation that has the ‘wow’ factor, and the owners of those properties with an unrivalled property management service, Cornish Gems has, since its launch provided hundreds of holidays and is already gearing up for an extremely busy 2009.

“It’s been a whirlwind two years since we launched Cornish Gems with just 3 properties. Our mission is to provide visitors to the county with self-catering holiday homes, cottages and apartments that are of the very highest quality with additional services such as being able to book surfing lessons, or recommend and book restaurants locally.

“At the same time we give the owners of those properties a service whereby we manage everything – from marketing and booking through to cleaning, changeover and maintenance services – taking the hassle out of holiday home ownership.

“I don’t think we realised at the outset just how popular Cornish Gems would become, with visitors and owners alike, so the move to new offices gives us both the location and space to manage our future growth effectively,” said Nadia.

The new offices were officially opened by Hayle Town Mayor and Mayoress Mr John and Lorna Coombe.

“With issues such as the Credit Crunch and the high Euro rate, we are seeing an increase in enquiries and bookings which looks set to make 2009 our busiest yet,” added Julianne.
