The seminar line-up has been announced for next week’s Cornwall Business Show.

The event will feature presentations from local and national business leaders every hour, on the hour.

First up is Deborah Edwards, of Harland Accountants, who will give some expert insights into the ever-more popular world of crowdfunding, and will look at how to set about it for your business.

Next up will be Helen Stephens, creative director of design agency Absolute. Her presentation is called ‘The ROI of Your Brand?’, and she will use two case studies to illustrate just what an impact good design can have on the financial success of a business.

Actuary-turned-entrepreneur Margaret de Valois’ presentation, ‘The Benefits of Diversity in Your Business’, draws on two important surveys published in 2015. She will explain how true diversity goes a long way beyond looking at how many women a business employs, and how getting diversity right can make a business work better.

This will be followed by Rebecca Anforth from local law firm, Murrell Associates. Anforth will present on Preparing your Business for Sale. Among other topics, she will look at how to maximise a business’s sale value.

Richard Wadman, of Francis Clarke, will then present his Funding Update for Cornish Businesses, a 25-minute round-up of funding options potentially available to Cornish companies. The presentation will include identification and commentary on sources of grant, debt and equity, as well some practical tips on assessing and accessing the “right” type of funding.

The final seminar of the day will be delivered by Sam Amps, of Electric Dialogue, who will deliver ‘Ten Simple Tips to Supercharge Your Digital Marketing’.

The show’s managing director, Andrew Weaver, said: “We’re going to hear from a diverse range of leading local voices in our seminar programme this year, and I’m confident there will be something there to interest all of our visitors, whatever kind of business they come from.”

Cornwall Business Show 2016 will take place on Thursday, March 17, at the Royal Cornwall Showground.
