Truro-based support charity, CLEAR, is holding its debut conference at The Atlantic Hotel in Newquay next month.

The event will focus on nationwide support services for children and young people involved in abusive relationships, and will include presentations on topics such as child sexual exploitation and assessment of progress through therapy.

Camila Batmanghelidjh, founder of Kids Company – a charity promoting and supporting emotional wellbeing, helping over 36,000 children in London, Bristol and Liverpool – has been confirmed as keynote speaker for the event.

Simon Carpenter, CEO of CLEAR, said: “This conference is a big step forward for CLEAR, and we hope to make a huge difference in the public’s understanding of abuse where young people are involved.”

The conference will be held at The Atlantic on February 9. Fees are £85 for standard delegates, £65 for third-sector organisations and £50 for organisation market stalls, including one delegate.
