(L-R) Customer Marketing Controller Richard Hemming, Managing Director Mark Duddridge, Finance Director Shaun Galloway and Accountant Liz Cane.

The four-man team from Callington travelled over 500 miles to compete at Loch Lomond in Scotland for the bi-annual Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge event.

As part of the challenge the team spent nearly 12 hours climbing Ben Lomond, canoeing 10km around Loch Lomond and biking 44km across the Scottish Highlands as well as trying their hand at archery and diving.

Over 30 teams competed in the challenge and the team from Ginsters finished in 13th place.

The Ginsters team will split the donations equally between children’s charity CHICKS and St Lukes Hospice. They are also hoping to raise a further £500 over the next few weeks.

Ginsters Customer Marketing Controller and Team Captain, Richard Hemming said: “We can’t thank everyone enough for donating so generously – our original goal was to raise £2,000 and we’d love it if we could go the extra mile and raise £3,000. We’ve got our fingers crossed for a few last minute donations.
