The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership is hosting a memorial event to celebrate the life and work of its late chair, Mark Duddridge, who passed away in May.

The event will take place on Tuesday, February 6 at the Hall for Cornwall in Truro from 12 noon until 1pm, followed by refreshments from 1pm to 2pm. All are welcome.

Mark passed away unexpectedly at his home in south west Cornwall on May 16, 2023. He was 60.

He had been chair of the LEP since 2016 following a 20-year career in the food industry. He was a tireless ambassador for Cornwall, its businesses, and the wider economic and social aspirations of the county.

The memorial event will include recollections from people who knew and worked with Mark throughout his professional life and will reflect on the tremendous contribution he made to Cornwall and Scilly.

Current LEP chair, Emma Hunt, said: “This is an opportunity to celebrate Mark’s professional life and work, and the enormous impact he had on shaping our region thanks to his tireless energy, enthusiasm, and passion.

“Mark was a generous, selfless and good-humoured champion for Cornwall and Scilly and we look forward to reflecting on his many achievements.”

Anyone interested in attending the memorial event is asked to pre-register via Eventbrite so that the organisers have an idea of the number of guests to be expected on the day.
