A Truro-based invasive weed control contractor hit the treble after securing a clutch of accolades at a ceremony hosted by national trade body the Property Care Association (PCA).

Southwest Knotweed won the Contractor of the Year title in the small to medium business category for Japanese knotweed at the trade body awards.

And company employee Alex White secured the Technician of the Year award after achieving the highest marks in the UK when qualifying as a technician in Japanese knotweed. The company was also highly commended for its website in a third award.
