The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has announced details of a new collaboration with the Your Partnerships (YP) networking group.

The agreement will see the two organisations working together to offer discounted memberships to businesses, mutual networking support and enhanced signposting to sources of assistance.

Ann Vandermeulen, development manager for FSB Cornwall and Isles of Scilly, said: “On top of the essential services that we offer, I’m delighted to be able to offer our members some additional help with making those all-important connections and relationships with other businesses.

“It makes good business sense to be able to broaden your client base. Local face to face meetings are still the best way to add your own personal stamp on the market. Also, in these difficult trading times, it is vital to not feel isolated yourself and be able to share peer to peer best practice. Having a greater variety of events to attend naturally brings more opportunity so I would encourage all businesses to have a look at getting involved with this exciting new collaboration.”

YP provides a vast number of business focussed events, in locations all over the south west, and other parts of the UK, which enable business people to connect with others, gain referrals and build trusting relationships with customers and suppliers

YP founder David Brock said: “We are very pleased to be partnering our networking offer with FSB. Their business support services are extremely comprehensive and they are widely known for their expertise in lobbying and problem solving. Therefore, FSB are a perfect fit with what our members are looking for on top of the extensive networking and business development services that we offer.

“We hope the discounts, that both organisations offer to new members, will also help in these times where everyone is looking for real value for money.”
