The public face of the mining and minerals industry in the far south west has elected Stephens Scown partner, Ian Lamond, as its new chairman.
The Cornwall Chamber of Mines & Minerals advises Cornwall Council and Devon County Council on the protection of minerals and is consulted on minerals developments as part of the planning process.
Lamond, a partner with law firm Stephens Scown which has its roots in the Cornish mining and minerals industry from the 1930s, is a key member of the firm’s mining and minerals team, and is also a member of the CBI Minerals Committee.
