Giles Dunning, a corporate lawyer with Stephens Scown solicitors, has represented a number of investors from the BBC Dragon’s Den programme and will spill the beans on what happens once the cameras are turned off.

This opportunity is part of the Finance in Cornwall day on May 14 during Cornwall Business Week, with a talk organised by Stephens Scown LLP and Francis Clark LLP. Topics being covered include grooming your business for investment, what options are out there for you and how to choose the right one.

Dunning said: “Seeing what sparks the excitement of a Dragon’s Den investor and how to encourage this interest is one of the most important things when looking at attracting funding. I intend to help Cornish businesses learn how to use this to their benefit at this event, along with other tools and information to help them forge ahead in these times of austerity.”

The talk is taking place on Wednesday May 14 from 2pm-3.30pm at Newquay Cinema, it is entitled ‘The Next Level: raising finance and achieving growth through equity investment’.
