Stephens Scown LLP has welcomed a new partner with over 20 years’ experience to its family law team.

Jill Bruce is an experienced family solicitor specialising in high-net worth cases involving complex pensions, business interests, inherited wealth and trusts.

Bruce regularly advises families on wealth protection, using pre-and post-nuptial agreements to protect assets in the event of relationship breakdown, with a particular specialism in ring-fencing personal injury settlements. She also advises on financial provision for the children of unmarried parents under Schedule 1 Children Act 1989.

She said: “Having started my career at Stephens Scown as a trainee solicitor, I really feel like I have come home. It is great to be joining such a highly regarded family law team, which continues to go from strength to strength, and I look forward to helping more clients navigate their way through what can be a most stressful and emotional time of their life.”

Head of the family team in Truro, Sarah Atkinson, added: “We are delighted to have welcomed Jill into the Family law team at Stephens Scown. I know Jill shares our focus on delivering excellent client service and high-quality advice and will be an asset to the team.”
