Truro School will be hosting an open-doors public careers convention for GCSE and A Level students next week.
Students from all local schools will have the opportunity to speak over 60 top professionals from a wide spectrum of industries including arts/media, ecology, the armed forces, police, health and social care, engineering and more.
Truro School career administrator, Jo Shaw, said: “This event will be based upon the realities and opportunities of the field, not about training or courses.
“The careers convention is therefore open to all students regardless of their next step; we have even invited some gap year specialists for those students who plan to take a break after leaving school.”
The convention will open to the public at 7pm on March 16 and finish at 8pm, with refreshments and free parking available on the school site.
