The project involves the development of high quality low carbon employment space comprising a total of some 3,419 sqm of office and hybrid industrial units.  The development will be constructed to achieve BREEAM “Excellent” status and represents the first speculative development of hybrid industrial units in Truro for nearly 20 years.  Some 132 jobs are forecasted to be created following completion of the development.

In addition, the Convergence grant funding will also facilitate the provision of a new junction layout at the entrance to the Threemilestone Industrial Estate that will greatly improve the traffic accessibility to and from the Estate.

Rob Walker, Director, Walker Threemilestone Ltd said: ‘It has been a long time with the planning of this development and we are delighted that we have secured the grant funding from the Convergence Programme.  Work on the scheme will start in September and we anticipate completing the development within 2 years.’

Russell Dodge, Project Manager, Business Location Services Ltd added: ‘This is a very significant investment in high quality employment space in Truro and we believe there will be strong demand for the space.’
