Clare Hughes from Hayle based CH Design was given the brief of adding a bit of ‘bling’ to Pirate FM’s reception at Carn Brea Studios in Redruth whilst keeping with the company’s corporate identity.

Hughes is an expert in creating branded environments for SME-sized companies all over the UK.

“An interior that uses the space as a physical embodiment of the brand creates a ‘brand space’ and this enhances the experience a customer has of an organisation. It subconsciously reinforces the brand message and anchors the brand firmly in the customer’s memory”, explains Hughes.

Sourcing mostly local contractors and products, CH Design also ensured the refurbishment ticked all the boxes in terms of sustainability.  The end-result is a rather inviting and attractive space in the corporate colours of purple and yellow, where Pirate FM’s customers are happy to wait to do business.

“The transformation was quite dramatic, but now everything sits in harmony, from the lighting to fittings and furniture, right down to the signage, it all projects the image of trust, security and convenience!” said Hughes.

CH Design also designs and project-manages for residential interior projects.
