The ever-popular Tunnel of Lights experience at Charlestown’s Shipwreck Treasure Museum returns from October half term with an arctic twist.

Tunnel of Lights: Arctic Adventure has seen more than 100 metres of tunnels at the award-winning attraction, once used to transport clay to awaiting ships in the village’s harbour, transformed into a polar themed wonderland.

The immersive experience will see visitors encounter shipwrecks frozen in time, following the footsteps of adventurers through a world of ice. They’ll discover frozen waterfalls, giant icebergs, ice caves and the tunnels will be illuminated with thousands of lights and filled with an arctic soundscape.

“After another trying year for us all, we can’t wait to welcome visitors to lose themselves in this truly immersive and captivating experience,” said Lynné Raubenheimer, visitor engagement manager at the Shipwreck Treasure Museum.

“It’s chance for families to escape for a while, feed their senses with the sights and sounds of the arctic and surely nothing brings joy and excitement more than falling snow. Our aim has been to create a magical winter feeling that will bring people together.”

Tickets to visit the Tunnel of Lights: Arctic Adventure for the autumn and Christmas seasons are on sale and must be booked in advance online by visiting www.shipwreckcharlestown.co.uk as availability is limited.
