The ‘ultimate’ drive-in cinema experience from chef Paul Ainsworth gets underway today (Aug 6).
Following the success of the Drive & Dine Theatre events held across the UK in collaboration with Chef Tom Kerridge earlier this summer, Ainsworth and his team are bringing a big screen concept to north Cornwall.
From today until August 16, The Royal Cornwall Showground is playing host to a revival of the classic American drive-in cinema screenings, kicking off this afternoon with Jaws and a screening of Bohemian Rhapsody this evening, rounded off with a menu inspired by the typical American retro drive-in scene.
Paul Ainsworth said: “I am buzzing to be bringing an event like this to Cornwall. It’s been a lot of fun creating this menu, taking some of these classic ‘at the movie’ dishes, adding bags of flavour, a little magic and lots of love.
“It has been a challenging start to the year and I know that Drive & Dine will bring some fun to those living or holidaying in Cornwall. Everyone loves a movie so come along and enjoy one of your favourites in an amazing (and safe) setting with some great food.”
