Cornish trampoline and toy website Bouncy Happy People has been acquired by the Dash group of companies.
The site will now be operated by Dash Wholesale, the company behind the world’s leading online seller of Ordnance Survey maps, Dash4it.co.uk.
The Bouncy Happy People brand will remain, and founder Patrick Polglase believes the move is good news for the site’s 30,000 customers.
He said: “Because they’re that much bigger, they’re ideally positioned to take Bouncy Happy People on to the next level.”
Since moving into ecommerce, 80-year-old Redruth firm Dash has already sold one million maps. The acquisition takes the company’s customer base to over 150,000.
Managing director Stephen Dash added: “Ecommerce is one of those industries where you quickly get real economies of scale – so the bigger we are, the better value and service we can offer.”
Financial terms were not disclosed.
