Two successful Cornish businesses have come together to create a new brand offering a full range of fitted interior and furniture products and services.

Contemporary furniture company Cord Industries, which ships its steel and timber stools, tables and dining sets across the world, has joined forces with its neighbour, custom-fitted interiors maker Coast Creative Joinery, to form Coast Creative.

Cord’s Dave Jones and Coast’s Nick Williams are old friends and have collaborated on many projects in the past, and since moving into adjoining purpose-built workshops in Camelford the idea of bringing their respective specialisms together to offer a whole range of interior solutions as one business has developed.

They are joined by partner Luke Powell, a talented designer who brings expertise in interior and spatial design, computer modeling and 3D visualisations.

Jones explained: “We found that since becoming neighbours we were going in and out of each other’s workshops so often that we might as well leave the connecting door open, and it wasn’t just for tea and coffee.

“Coast were able to utilise our fabrication skills to offer custom steel work as part of their designs, and our most recent range of modular furniture uses their CNC manufacturing technology to accurately machine all of the wooden components. It made sense to us to formalise things and make the most of our combined services and skills, and we knew that if we could talk Luke into coming on-board as well, we could create something really special.”
