Cornish organic skincare company, Spiezia Organics, has announced details of a major new investor to help grow and develop the business.

British entrepreneur Lara Morgan has extensive commercial experience and is the founder and former CEO of global toiletries company, Pacific Direct.

“It is fantastic to have Lara on board,” said Spiezia MD, Amanda Barlow.

“Following the final sale of her shares in Pacific Direct for an undisclosed multi million pound sum, Lara Morgan has made a significant investment in Spiezia Organics. Her investment has brought both financial and business expertise to the company which is embarking on a significant growth plan.

“Her enthusiasm and determination will be very positive for the brand and the organic industry as a whole. Having owned and managed a major toiletries manufacturing business, making for some of the leading brands in the world, has given Lara valuable insight into ingredients, chemicals and the lack of legislation around cosmetics and skin care.

“Together we will be able to make a very real difference.”

Morgan added: “I am painfully aware of there being only one planet; Plan A is running far from smoothly and we have no Plan B. It is a joy to be involved with Spiezia Organics – a company very much concerned with the bigger picture and so utterly devoted to achieving premium product quality, and sourcing conscientious ingredients and sustainable packaging.”

Spiezia Organics, which since 2013 has been based at the Health and Wellbeing Innovation Centre (HWIC) in Truro, was named the Best Ethical Skincare brand in the Natural Healthy Beauty Awards 2015.
