A special seminar is being hosted in Truro later this month to discuss the economic and social case for regional banks.

The event at The Business Space in Truro on March 23, will feature a talk from Tony Greenham, director of economics at the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) and founding director of South West Mutual, a co-operative bank dedicated to the south west.

South West Mutual is part of a wider movement led by the Community Savings Bank Association, which aims to develop a UK-wide network of customer-owned, regional banks.
