Cornwall Business Fair


The date for Cornwall’s largest business event has been confirmed. Hosted by Cornwall Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Get Set For Growth and The Health & Wellbeing Innovation Centre, Cornwall Business Fair 2014 will take place during Cornwall Business Week, on Wednesday May 14.

“Cornwall Business Fair 2014 will celebrate the dynamic way we do business in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly,” said Cornwall Chamber’s chief executive Kim Conchie. “Business people and entrepreneurs are invited to join us at this free event at the Health and Wellbeing Innovation Centre on Wednesday 14 May.

“We expect over 2,000 people will network, trade, talk, share knowledge and collaborate. Business leaders and motivational speakers will share their inspirational insights in keynote speeches and workshops which will be free of charge to visitors. More details will be released soon.”

Matthew Giles, programme director of business support service, Get Set For Growth, added: “We are really excited to be partnering with the Cornwall Chamber at this year’s event. Businesses benefit from a strong network of support in the county, including our fully-funded investment readiness service for SMEs.

“Get Set For Growth will be running a free 1:1 business clinic at the Cornwall Business Fair 2014. Our experts will be on hand throughout the day to meet ambitious businesses who are looking to grow in 2014 and beyond.”

Karen Murray, centre manager for the Health & Wellbeing Innovation Centre, said: “We are delighted to be supporting Cornwall Chamber of Commerce by hosting the Cornwall Business Fair again this year at the Health & Wellbeing Innovation Centre. Last year’s event was a brilliant success with delegates from every sector of the Cornish business community attending this exciting and informative day.”

The fair will take place in The Health and Wellbeing Innovation Centre on May 14 from 10am-4pm. Attendance at the event is free and open to all businesses and everyone interested in a career in commerce in Cornwall. There will also be a dedicated shuttle bus from the Park & Ride at Langarth.
