A small Cornish company that makes UV awareness accessories has won an order from Virgin Holidays.
Virgin Holidays bought some promotional bracelets from UV-Buddy to promote its partnership with the skin cancer charity, Skcin.org campaign.
UV-Buddy’s ‘Pretty with a Purpose’ range feature white beads that change colour as they pick up UV in the atmosphere. When the beads go so dark that you can’t tell they were once white, then it is time reach for the sun screen.
“Our ‘Pretty with a Purpose’ accessories are quite unique,” says MD Gemma Hanbidge-Stoddern. “Since launching UV-Buddy last year, we have had nothing but positive feedback from everyone telling us what a brilliant idea it is.”
