More than 100 people attended the south west’s first Mobile Marketing Conference at the Eden Project yesterday.
Delegates heard from seven expert speakers who all imparted hints, tips and industry insights into key areas of mobile marketing.
The morning started with an opening address from Toby Parkins of UKNetWeb, who gave tips on building a website for mobile devices. He was followed by Geoff King from Zenith Mist who covered converting ‘clickers to consumers’.
Andrew Walker from Rame Marketing spoke about why content is so important for mobile websites and Rob Edlin from Niddocks Online Marketing discussed making mobile sites search engine friendly and using Google AdWords and Microsoft adCenter.
Delegates then heard from Aren Grimshaw on making the most of the mobile marketing opportunities with social media. Dan Parker from Firetext Communications gave tips for integrating SMS into the marketing mix and Stafford Sumner provided insights into optimising email marketing for mobile recipients.
