A Cornish internet business has helped its first group of pupils graduate from a new web academy.

Truro based Redfuse Internet has been working with students at Penair School to build three community websites.

The Redfuse Web Academy recruited a group of  year nine children to create sites for Bosvigo children’s centre, Penair School’s health centre and the school’s kitchen.

The programme was launched with the help of Cornwall Learning Education Business Partnership.

Redfuse’s managing director Mark Grice said: “I’ve never worked with children before, so it was a real learning curve for me, but one I totally enjoyed.

“I helped the students pick the clients, who were chosen because they were not-for-profit organisations that didn’t already have a website. I know the clients are happy with the results and I’m waiting for final approval, which should come in the next few weeks, so the sites can go live.”
