The Lost Gardens of Heligan has announced that it will be supporting First Light as its nominated Charity of the Year.

Over the course of 2024, staff and customers at Heligan will aim to raise awareness and funds to help support people affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence.

To kick start the fundraising year, festive visitors to The Lost Gardens of Heligan helped raise over £1.4k as the gardens opened their gates for its annual charity day on New Year’s Day.

First Light CEO, Lyn Gooding, said: “The overwhelming generosity shown by the visitors of The Lost Gardens of Heligan on New Year’s Day is truly heartwarming.

This incredible contribution will make a significant impact in supporting those affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence. We are immensely grateful to The Lost Gardens of Heligan and everyone involved for championing our cause and fostering hope for a brighter future.”
