The 16 Days of Action campaign is not just a call to action; it’s a pledge to bring about meaningful change.

Violence against women and girls has no place in our society, and, as a united community, we are determined to create a lasting impact. This year, at First Light, we invite you to join us in making three essential pledges for the coming year, because every person, regardless of their gender, deserves to live free from fear and violence.

Pledge One: Create Change #WeSeeYou

#WeSeeYou is a call to raise awareness, debunk myths, and expose toxic behaviours. Our goal is to create a society where victims of sexual and domestic violence can seek support without judgment.

Pledge Two: No Voice Left Unheard #WeHearYou

#WeHearYou is about listening to the voices of survivors of violence. Together, we aim to amplify their stories, inspire change, challenge perceptions, and transform attitudes.

Pledge Three: Empower Everyone #WeBelieveYou

#WeBelieve aims to create safe spaces and communities where victims can disclose their experiences without fear. We are forging partnerships and providing resources to ensure that everyone has access to the support they deserve.

During these 16 Days of Action, businesses in Cornwall have the power to effect change:

Spread Awareness: Share our messages on social media to reach a wider audience and inspire change.

Engage in Conversations: Talk about the importance of ending violence with your colleagues, friends, and family.

Donate: Contribute to our efforts, ensuring we can continue our vital work in the community.

Take the Pledge: Commit to supporting our three pledges and be part of the solution.

In Cornwall, we believe in a future free from violence against women and girls. We invite you to stand with us. Join us on this journey of change because everyone deserves to live free from fear and violence.
