BF Adventure has launched a crowdfunding campaign to help maintain its services in these unprecedented times.

BF Adventure is an outdoor activity centre and education charity and in particular supports vulnerable children and young people though its programmes.

However, due to Covid-19 it has lost nearly all of its income following the temporary closure of its site to groups and the public. Without financial support, this accessible site which is 30 years in the making and has supported nearing 100,000 individuals to date may have to close forever.

CEO, Adrian Richards, said: “Our vital work is needed more than ever now and we are doing all we can to support those most in need through these challenging times and in looking to be ready to reach many more once current restrictions are relaxed.

“These are tough times for everyone but every little you can give will enable our team to make a massive difference and to make positive changes that will last a lifetime.”

The campaign, which is live now on the Crowdfunder UK platform, is offering the chance to pay it forward and receive discounted activity vouchers, giving supporters and their friends or family the chance to join them onsite once the current restrictions lift. Activities range from climbing to watersports, coasteering, zip-lining and Cornwall’s first ever ‘Via Ferrata’ experience. Many of these activities are available as childcare, for which there are also vouchers available.

Companies can also pledge their support by entering the Business Challenge Event. There are also a range of sponsorship packages with several benefits to choose from.
