The Royal Cornwall Museum has been shortlisted for the Family Friendly Museum Award 2023.

From the end of March to the beginning of June, families voted for their favourite attraction with 600 nominations for over 110 different museums before the final shortlist was decided by an expert panel.

The award is run by Kids in Museums, an Arts Council England-funded charity which supports the heritage sector in becoming easy to reach for all ages.

Royal Cornwall Museum has been shortlisted in the Best Small Museum category, with the winner set to be announced in October.

Bryony Robins, director at Royal Cornwall Museum, said: “We’re so proud to have been shortlisted for this award and that our work with children, young people and families has been recognised. Children and families are important visitors and supporters of the museum and our team is dedicated to making sure their experience is engaging, accessible and affordable.”
