Nominations are being invited for Camborne’s first Community and Commerce Awards.

Jointly organised by BID Camborne and Camborne Town Council, the awards will recognise exceptional individual, group and business contributions.

“There is so much in Camborne to celebrate and we thought this would be a wonderful way of acknowledging what so many people are doing to make our town a lovely place to live and work in,” said BID (Business Improvement District) manager Anna Pascoe.

The community award categories include young achiever, community volunteer, community group of the year, outstanding contribution to sport and outstanding contribution to the arts. Commerce awards categories include best small business, best medium business, best large business, best employer, best environmental focus, local champion, best customer focus, best licensed premises, product of the year, service of the year and best not-for-profit business.

Nominations for the Community and Commerce Awards close on Friday March 20. Winners will be announced at a special event taking place at Camborne Rugby Club on Wednesday May 6.
