A new specialist personal injury lawyer has been recruited by Coodes Solicitors, as it sees a continued increase in case load.

With more than ten years’ experience, David Usher has been appointed by the firm as an associate solicitor, to further bolster the team’s expertise across the region. He is also recognised as a senior litigator with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).

Usher, who qualified as a solicitor in 2017, has been practising solely in personal injury since 2014. Cornwall born and bred, he completed his law degree at the University of Plymouth, before qualifying with his Legal Practice Course (LPC). He has previously worked for several other law firms across Cornwall and Devon, including with Womble Bond Dickinson in Plymouth.

“Joining Coodes has been an incredibly proud moment for me,” he said. “One of my key strengths is being able to take a very personal approach when dealing with clients, by offering specialist advice, supporting them and helping them through what is often a very difficult and distressing time.

“Having such a passion for client care as well as supporting clients to rebuild their lives is what Coodes does best – I’m really pleased to be joining such a highly respected and well-established law firm in the south west.”

Rachel Pearce, head of clinical negligence and personal injury at Coodes Solicitors, added: “We’re delighted to welcome David to the team and in a short space of time he has really hit the ground running.

“He has already made great strides in the networking circles and I’m confident that David’s experience and expertise will be a great asset to the firm.”
