Newquay-based sustainable and vegan marketplace, Choose Conscious, has become the 16th business in Cornwall to achieve B Corp certification.
It joins the likes of Leap, Finisterre and Origin Coffee to be certified by B Lab, the not-for-profit behind the B Corp movement, as having met rigorous social and environmental standards, representing its commitment to goals that aren’t just about profit.
Rebecca Wilton, founder of Choose Conscious, said: “It was important to me to have a clear set of achievable goals underpinning what Choose Conscious is about and how it operates, something transparent and accessible, becoming a Certified B Corp gives me the confidence that we are doing that, along with the tools to monitor performance and continually improve.
“The e-commerce sector, in particular marketplaces, can be challenging but showing that it is possible to be a business for good in this space is something I am very proud of. I look forward to being a part of the B Corp community.”
