The Who Dares Works project is delivering a series of Winter Wellbeing workshops to help see people though the festive period.

Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund, the Active Plus-led project supports individuals in west Cornwall and the Isle of Scilly who are unemployed and have barriers to work, education or training.

It offers mental health and wellbeing support, advice on housing and debt/money management as well as a plethora of work-related activities such as support to get into construction or care and help with CVs, job applications and interviews.

Resident health and wellbeing practitioner, Sue Boughton, will be delivering a session on making Christmas related crafts. In addition to the crafts, she will also be giving a general talk around health and wellbeing and keeping upbeat throughout the period with tools and techniques.

This year, the workshops will be delivered online in partnership with CHAOS. Participants will need to find some easily resourced materials for themselves, such as crisp packets, cardboard from toilet rolls and a glass jar to upcycle into Christmas decorations. Other items, such as glitter, ribbon and glue will be delivered (with zero contact) straight to their door.
