Entries have now opened for the 2015 Excellence in Business Training Awards, hosted by Cornwall College Business.
This celebration of the importance of training within industry, now in its eighth year, has, in previous years, seen applications from right across the south west.
The awards are open to any business that has undertaken training within the last 18 months to improve their profitability, staff morale, retention, performance or to gain competitive advantage.
This year’s awards are supported by Pirate FM and sponsored by; Cornwall Care, Midas Construction, Sapience HR, Cormac Solutions, Unlocking Potential, Cornwall Development Company, Imerys with Business Cornwall as a media partner.
Sally Foard, director for adult and employer learning at The Cornwall College Group, said: “The awards are always a fantastic celebration of local business success, along with well-deserved recognition for companies that have invested in training over the last year and enjoyed measurable benefits.
“Planning is already well underway for the awards ceremony in January and the judges are ready and waiting for the applications to roll in!”
Winners from last year include; Cornwall Care, Interserve Construction, The Core Fitness & Wellbeing Centre, Cornwall Council, Source Energy, Lucy Goldring from Premium Lighting Solutions and Jill Carr from Pendennis Shipyard.
Businesses have until November 10 to submit their applications; all shortlisted businesses will then be invited to the awards ceremony at The Atlantic Hotel Newquay on January 30.
