A Cornish businesswoman is in the running for the Director of the Year award at the IoD South West Business Awards which take place in Bristol later this week.
Sarah Trethowan founded Pool-based TRAC Services 12 years ago with her husband, Jonathan, to help pharmaceutical companies meet the complex regulatory requirements needed to test, market and sell their products.
Trethowan, who recently completed the IoD (Institute of Directors) certificate in Company Direction and is also a non-executive director of Cornwall Development Company, said: “I know I am up against some strong contenders but I hope to fly the flag for Cornwall this year.”
If successful, she will, together with other regional award winners, go on to compete for the national awards in the autumn.
The South West’s IoD Director of the Year Awards 2013 take place on Thursday (June 6).
