Stress management and mental wellbeing specialist Craig Fearn has been appointed as the Institute of Directors South West ambassador for wellbeing.
Fearn, who is based at Penryn-based Mental Business Wellbeing, has more than 15 years’ experience encouraging organisations to address staff wellbeing holistically and enable a change in work culture by using tools and mentoring.
He mentors business leaders to embed mental wellbeing into corporate strategy and works with HR professionals and mental health first aiders to encourage them to nurture their own mental wellbeing and recognise the acute stresses of their roles.
IoD SW regional chair, Muir Macdonald, said: “Mental wellbeing is such a critical component of any organisation’s values and ethos and here at the IoD we are involved in several initiatives to support and promote it.
“We’re delighted to have Craig on board as an ambassador in what we consider a key role.”
Fearn joins a group of existing ambassadors throughout the region whose role it is to support and mentor existing and new IoD members. Other roles include ambassador SMEs, diversity and inclusion, and policy and corporate governance.
