Two major south west agricultural businesses have announced expansion plans in west Cornwall.

From December 3, Mole Valley Farmers (MVF) and Hamblys will share a new site on the Treleigh Industrial Estate in Redruth.

Although both businesses will operate from the same location, they will remain independent. Hamblys MD Steve Barrett said: “This represents a big commitment to our customers in west Cornwall, since our expansion west in 2009 we have been looking for a more appropriate site from which to offer our customers the sales, service and parts support they deserve.

“This is it, and with the added advantage of having MVF on the same site we are certain it is the right investment to support our customers in this area.”

Mole Valley CEO, Andrew Jackson, added: “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to expand further into Cornwall and offer our farming customers a more convenient access point to our comprehensive range of products and services.

“For some time we have constantly received requests to open a location in west Cornwall and now look forward to serving both new and existing customers in the area.

“We are really appreciative of being able to team up with Hamblys and look forward to building on the synergies and added value that both companies endeavour to offer the farming community.”
