A new functional fitness area was officially opened at Carn Brea Leisure Centre this week, adding to its already extensive range of cardiovascular and resistance equipment.
Gym and studio manager, Amelia Blackford, said: “There has been a real buzz around the opening of our new functional training area and it’s been great to see all our members getting involved.
“As a charity trading at the heart of our local community, it’s really important for us to be able to offer such exciting new equipment that’s fun to use but also produces benefits that translate in to everyday life.”
The new area was opened by professional athlete Peran Clemence, who is a local dirt jumper. He added: “I really love the new functional zone. It is definitely going to help improve my strength and endurance ready for the competitions next year.”
