What did you want to be when you were young? Someone who worked in an office or James Bond – at least I achieved one!!
What was your first full time job? Solicitor – only thing I have ever done.
What is your best quality? The ability to get on with (almost) everyone and therefore get the best out of them.
What is your worst quality? Impatience – especially with triviality and incompetence – not therefore a problem at work of course!
What is your favourite book? Don’t really have one – love John Grisham and Dan Brown though.
What is your favourite film? Singin’ in the Rain – managed to persuade my parents to let me stay up late to watch it at a very early age!!
What is your favourite restaurant? Tresanton Hotel, St Mawes
How do you like to relax? On holiday – doing nothing except sitting in the sun reading and playing with my children. At home – over dinner with friends.
If you could build a house anywhere in the world where would it be? Probably the Gulf Coast of Florida – I love it there!
If you could be a superhero, what superpowers would you like to possess? The ability to make everyone get on with each other – what a great place the World would be if we could just rub along together.
Who was your teenage pin up? Charlie’s Angels especially Jaclyn Smith What is the most valuable lesson you have learned in life? That what is meant to be will be and there is little point fighting against it, go with it and make the most of it.
Can money buy happiness? No but lack of it can sure make you miserable!
Most annoying TV personality? Recently Bruce Forsyth – maybe time to retire when your jokes are older than you are?
What has been the best moment in your career? Finding out I had qualified as a solicitor and could keep the job I had been doing for the previous two months!
What has been the worst moment in your career? Resigning from my previous positions – never easy!
What do you begrudge spending money on? Things I could do myself if I had more time like gardening, window cleaning and house maintenance.
If you only had £1 left in the entire world, what would you spend it on? My family.
What’s the best thing about Cornwall? Being near the sea – it was only when we lived in Essex for a while that I realised how much I missed it!
What makes you happy? Lots of things – I am generally happy, I really enjoy my family, my job and life generally!
What makes you angry? Negativity – what’s the point of that – I don’t believe in ‘can’t’!!
What could you not live without? Very little but chocolate and cappuccino are probably fairly up there!
Tell me a joke. What do you call a donkey with 3 legs? A wonkey!!
What’s the greatest invention ever? The motor car – despite it’s bad press and environmental impact, it has revolutionised the way we live.
If you could be God for a day, what miracle would you perform? World peace would be nice but even a truce would be good.
